Food safety and quality is top priority at Grower Direct Nut Company. We understand how critical it is for our customers to feel confident in the product source and the food processing practices.
At Grower Direct Nut Company all incoming conventional product is fumigated to ensure no infestations of any kind enter our facilities. Product is inspected by the DFA to determine variety, quality, size and color based on established industry standards.
Our Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Program (GMP) have been systematically developed to identify and control hazard risks at each stage of processing. Electronic color and grade sorting, followed by hand sorting, insures kernels have varietal integrity, are consistent in size and color, virtually free of foreign material and finished to exceed USDA grade or customer specifications. Well-trained quality control personnel constantly inspect product quality. When the product is packed, a third party inspector of the state organization DFA of California and our in-house Quality Control, take random representative samples from finished product and each perform a quality inspection. After passing this meticulous process the product is then released with the DFA stamp of approval.
We are certified Kosher for Passover, Halal by the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA) and certified organic with California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF).
Grower Direct Nut Company participates in programs such as Dried Fruit Association of California (DFA), Peanut and Tree Nut Council Association (PTNPA), International Nut Congress (INC) and the American Heart Association.
